Tess received a school award this week for "Always being a responsible caring class member". I went along to the awards assembly - she didn't know she was getting the award but figured something was going on when she saw me before the start of assembly. It was lovely - it doesn't matter how digital and modern our world becomes, children still always chant their teacher's names when they say Good Morning. In the school hall photo Tess is the one wearing a dark blue fleece and trousers.
When I was downloading the photos of Tess with her award I found some of Tom with an award that he received at kindy (the paper wristband) for doing excellent listening and class participation. It was very remiss of me to not mention it at the time but the photo is now here for posterity. The wristband eventually dissolved! I also found a photo of him helping me bake the 72 cupcakes for Tess and Olivia's party - he was an excellent helper.
