School Sport

Tess had her first tennis match on the weekend and did quite well.  She lost her first doubles match, drew her singles and won her second doubles match.  Her serve let her down and we spent some time on Sunday trying to fix that.  I'm loving her interest in tennis because there is nowhere I would rather be than on a tennis court and it gives me huge pleasure being able to play with her.

Tom had his first swimming carnival at Pittwater House.  One of the advantages of being at a smaller school is that he can be a bigger fish particularly in the water sports which he loves.  At Pittwater House all the races are seeded to keep like-ability swimmers together.  Tom was placed in the top seed for all of his races and came 4th in freestyle, 5th in breaststroke, 6th in backstroke and 4th in butterfly but the really exciting result was the Orroc (his school house) boys 50m freestyle relay in which his team came 1st and managed to beat the teacher's team!

John and Rae went to NZ for a week so the house seemed very quiet without them.  We had a relaxing day down at Manly on Sunday enjoying the beautiful weather.

I love Manly. Can't believe we're lucky enough to live here
A large lunch proved too much for Tess!
