Tom out of hospital

It was an exciting week with Tom being allowed out of hospital.  The traction came off on Wednesday afternoon but he wasn't steady enough on his crutches to be allowed home so we spent one more night in hospital.  After satisfying the physio that he wasn't going to end up back in hospital we headed to Jellyfish for a celebratory breakfast!

Tom was great whilst in hospital.  After 3 hours of being at home he started complaining of being bored.............

Tess' tennis team had their final on Saturday - they were 2nd on the ladder and played the number 1 team.  It was a very closely fought battle with Tess' team losing by 1 game!!!! The school principal and head of sports came to watch the match which was a big deal for the girls.

It was my birthday on Saturday and in the evening we went out to the Herring Room with the Rivers, Christensens, Watts and Connors.  It was a fantastic evening with amazing food.  As you can see from the photos Jules made a special effort to dress up ;)

Note my new Tiffany necklace, a present from Jules - I'm very spoilt!

Since being at home Tom has managed to go swimming several times in our pool and play table tennis.  Fairly impressive for someone on crutches and I'm not sure either are allowed!  He's had a constant stream of boys round to keep him entertained and he realises how lucky he is to have so many amazing friends.
