It was Father's Day on Sunday and we spent the entire morning down at nippers as it was nipper registration day and I was helping on the merchandise whilst Jules did water safety. We can't complain though because the weather was glorious and it was a pleasure to be by the beach.
Jules asked Tess to go for a chai latte with him on Sunday afternoon and she refused. Clearly not ready for any changes just yet.......!
Tess had her grade 4 piano exam on Friday. She should have taken it in May but I was a softy and decided she needed time to settle into her new school rather than focusing on her exam. As a result we were all rather sick of the pieces she was playing. I tried to get a nice picture of her with her exam book which is the same one I used as a child. Here is the photo I wanted as demonstrated by me:
This is what I got:
On Saturday Tom and Jules went down to Oka to do some maintenance and to give a guy who's been helping out a bottle of wine. It was very windy and the bottle of wine ended up in the water. We waited for low tide and all went down to rescue it. It was still very windy so the girls were happy to let Tom be the hero despite their initial enthusiasm.
The girls almost went in too as Tom took his dive
