Speech day marked the end of school for a very long 8 weeks. I've been extremely worried about how Tess and I are going to remain friends over that period because I struggle with her laziness so I drew up a "solution" which I handed to her. We haven't discussed it yet but I've been pleased to see a lot of my "suggestions" put into place.
Jules and I had the Kernahan Christmas party on Saturday which is always a big local event. I agreed to bring a salmon dish and ended up making salmon gravalax for the first time a potentially foolish move but luckily it paid off as it was delicious. I laughed when I got home to find the following note from Tess on the front door.
The sellotape reference is due to me trying to teach Tess how to wrap presents and discovering that she uses the most minuscule amount of sellotape possible!
On Sunday we had Tom's guitar concert followed by Tess' piano concert so a very musical afternoon. Tess made "bauble" cupcakes for her concert which were very sweet.
I'll leave you with this awesome photo of Jules and Tom taken after nippers on Sunday.
