Catching up

It's not often I go 2 weeks without blogging but working 5 days a week is taking it out of me!

We've had a very sociable weekend. Friday night at the bowlo (bowling club!) over the road with the gang. It was the first time we've seen Jen since she's come home from Hong Kong and it is so lovely to have her back.

Saturday night both kids were out - Tom partying and Tess working - so we made a last minute decision to go out for a casual dinner with Craig and Lisa. Sadly, trying to find a last minute restaurant in Manly is nigh on impossible and we ended up at a dodgy Brazilian place with a live musician. He was very good but not so good for a group of 40/50 year olds and we were exhausted from shouting at each other to be able to have a conversation!

After we'd finished dinner we walked round to Council Chambers to see the lights they had set up to celebrate Anzac Day - they were very well done.

Sunday Tess was working, Jules went for a swim and I went for a lovely long walk with Kate and Trudie. The Wakes-Millers came over for lunch and given the beautiful weather we set up some tables on the new deck which was lovely.
