The McEnnies had a fabulous 10 days in Thailand - 7 nights on our lovely catamaran and 2 nights in an even lovelier hotel.
Our flight was delayed which called for drinks at the airport.Lisa had special t-shirts made for us all based on the song "I'm on a boat".
The cafe at the Marina where we had lunch before heading off on the boat. Prior to that Lisa and I had a very stressful shopping expedition where all the food descriptions were in Thai and the main source of protein was chicken neck... Our carefully planned shopping list went out the window and we had to wing it. We purchased some very questionable items that went swiftly overboard due to the smell...
The below picture is the radar of the boat movement on our first night. We managed to anchor in a gulf stream (I might be mixing my climatic similes) and rocked and rolled all night long. Not a great introduction to sailing for the Mennies...
Tom read a book - a whole one! We bought him The Beach given we were going to visit it and he devoured the book.
The Three Amigos
Everyone took their sun screen application very seriously although we all found the sun a lot less harsh than that in Australia.
Breakfast - Lisa and I managed to provide a continental style breakfast each morning. The fruit was sensational.
Chillin'
The McPs at The Beach. There were thousands of people there and lots of women in the most incredible outfits with dedicated photographers taking endless selfies!
Lunch time at Koh Phi Phi. Lisa and I like to embrace local tradition and culture and we became quite fond of Singha beer.
Thai boxers
Sundowners at Monkey Beach. There were monkeys on the beach and amazing snorkelling a short swim from the boat. This was a great mooring.
Tess suffers from seasickness so she slept outside every night. It meant she was last to bed and second up but at least she managed to get a few hours of sleep in-between.
The McEnnies proudly wearing their t-shirts.
First night at The Pullman Arcadia. We had not showered for 7 days as we were concerned about running out of water and there was nowhere to fill up. That first hair wash felt amazing!
