Check out the Human Pyramid!

Whilst I've been hard at work Jules and Kristie have been gallivanting around with the kids! Unfortunately our terrible weather has continued so they were a bit restricted this week with what they could do. The kids enjoyed a trip to the Aquarium and they also went on a day trip to the Blue Mountains with a ride on Australia's steepest railway.

Kristie had her first twilight sail experience on Friday evening - I don't think there's much fear of her developing a desire to compete in the Sydney-Hobart as quite soon into the race she got her back totally dunked in the sea and a little later got her foot tied around a rope and ended hanging the wrong way up during a tack!

We woke to beautiful weather on Saturday morning so Jules and I took the 3 oldest kids down to Clontarf for a play and a swim whilst Kristie and Anna headed into Manly in search of Ugg boots. The day got progressively hotter and the Jamiesons and Andrew and Marianne arrived early for dinner so that they could cool down in the pool. We had a lovely evening with the kids finally being allowed to attack the gingerbread house - 30 mins later it was no more.

Sunday was a real scorcher and we had the fan blowing at breakfast time to try and cool us down - when that didn't work we all jumped in the pool at about 9.30 and stayed there for the next couple of hours. Duncan, Jo and Jenny Arthur arrived at lunch time and the drinking started again. We managed to get rid of the kids during our lunch but by 3.30 we were all sweltering and ended up in the pool for another hour or so. I'm off work next week hanging out with Kristie and the kids so lord knows what mischief we'll get up to!
