It was Robert's birthday last weekend so he came round for dinner during the week. I went all out and we had duck pancakes, Toad in the Hole with mash and onion gravy and of course a big chocolate cake. Tess enjoyed decorating the house making banners, blowing up balloons, putting out candles etc so it all looked very pretty.
During the week Jules bought an official photo of him mid-marathon. This was before the severe pain set in!
Tom has recently decided that he doesn't like being called Tom McPherson and instead he calls himself Tommy Johnson. If ever he's playing a game, running a race he cheers himself on using his new name. He's so persistent in using it that we're beginning to call him Tommy Johnson too. He's trying to start a trend with Tessie Johnson but that's not catching on for now.
In about 18 hours time we'll be on a plane on our way to Fiji. Just in time as the weather has taken a serious turn for the cooler and they're predicting rain for the next month. 30 degrees on Castaway Island right now - perfect!
