Entire suburb relocates
For the Australia Day long weekend we went camping at Freemans Beach on the Central Coast with the Watts, Rivers and Burgesses. After we'd booked we discovered there were another 9 families from Balgowlah Heights who had booked to camp at the same time. We took over half of the campsite and the kids had a ball with even more of their friends to play with.
As you can see from the photo the weather wasn't great and I think we had more rain (2 nights in a row) than I've ever experienced camping in Australia but nothing got wet and it was mainly at night so didn't stop any day time activities. We had planned on lots of surfing but there was a big southerly blowing most of the time so we stuck to boogie boarding and playing on the beach. It was a great way to end the summer holidays.
