Playing games

My cousin Patrick arrived from Singapore on Friday and our good friend Stephen who's over from the UK joined us too.  Patrick invited some mates, Johnny & Amelia, over for a bbq on Friday night and we had a great time meeting them and their children.  The evening ended after quite a few bottles of wine and a stellar game of Cranium in which the girls won (of course!).

Jules in his hoodie
We spent most of Saturday at the beach surfing and boogie boarding with a fish & chip picnic lunch to keep our strength up.  Jules showed off his very smart "hoodie" which is a towel like garment that allows you to get changed on the beach whilst protecting your modesty!

Custard on the lead because he'd just run away!

It was a slow start on Sunday after a serious night out on the tiles for Stephen, Jules and I.  There was more beach action including a fun couple of hours down at Davis Marina with Custard.  The kids were a bit put out when he kept beating them in swimming races.

Robert clearly in trouble

In the evening Robert came round for dinner and we finished with a couple of rounds of Rummikub.  Patrick won both of them which we claimed was beginners luck.
