Sport, sport and more sport

It's been an excellent week for sporting achievement in our house.

On Thursday Tom had his weekly futsal game and was in goal for the second half.  The other team was awarded 2 penalty kicks and he saved both of them which meant his team won their game.  There is a lot of the "italian footballer" about Tom when he plays - lots of arm movements, dancing around, high-fiving and generally carrying on!

Tess had her weekly touch footy game on Friday.  Due to some terrible organisation by the manager (me) the team have been entered into the U13s rather than the U11s and have played much bigger and older girls.  We were quite philosophical about losing all our games and simply enjoying the games as we could but then we had our first win on Friday - you would have thought we'd won the grand final the way we carried on.

Tom has taken to board training like a duck to water.  He has training on Tuesdays and Saturdays and he loves it.
Tom is looking in the water, Tess is at back

The kids had their second sailing lesson on Saturday.  It was amazing seeing them head out across Manly harbour in their little Bics.  They had to negotiate the Manly ferry and a very fast speed boat which produced lots of wake.  They did brilliantly.

Custard continues to disgrace himself.  Whilst up at the park during Tess' touch footy training he disappeared into the bushes and came out with a bone which meant no-one could go near him whilst he feasted on his spoils.  Jules managed to drag him away from it but the bone is still up there so I suspect I will have to keep him on the lead for his morning walks until he's forgotten about it.  He also managed to steal a bunch of grapes in the 5 minutes he was left alone whilst Jules was in the shower!
