The renovation has started - it's amazing how quickly they can demolish a house and how badly built our house is!
Santa came to nippers by boat and handed out soft drinks and lollies to all the excited children.
Tess and Olivia dressed up for the end of year formal where Year 5 farewell Year 6.
Kate and I took the kids into the City to see the trees and get their photo taken with Santa. I think that's the first Santa photo Tom and Tess have ever had. He was the best Santa. Ewan asked whether he would prefer for us to leave beer or champagne. Tom asked whether he drank everything we left. Izzy asked what we should leave out for Rudolph. Santa said he prefers champagne but only has a tiny sip at each house because he has to keep his blood alcohol level below 0.05 and Rudolph really appreciates some water because he gets very thirsty pulling that sleigh. Apparently Tom wants a surfboard (think again) and Tess wants earrings and some nice pens.
This tree in Martin Place was very cool. The ribbon is actually LED lights and you could text a message that was displayed travelling up the tree in lights.
We caught up with the Wakes-Millers for dinner on Sunday and the kids persuaded us that they needed a frozen yoghurt each for dessert.
