Tess goes to camp

We were supposed to be in the US on holiday over the next couple of weeks.  However, because of the renovation and the Great Aussie Bush Camp we cancelled the holiday.  In retrospect it was the right thing to do and Tess was very happy heading off on camp for 3 days.  They did lots of amazing activities including building their own rafts and steering them across a lake, playing in mud, climbing 6 ft walls and swinging on a giant swing.  She came home happy and very tired.

It is Tess' birthday next week and because she's off to high school next year we said that she could get a phone for her birthday and a laptop for Christmas both of which she will need for school.  Due to some excellent negotiation skills from Tess we caved and bought her an iPhone 5s - allegedly "all" her friends have/will have one by the time they get to school.  I've only actually spoken to her over the phone since she's had it ;)
