Jules and Sheldon were on Surf Patrol on Saturday afternoon. It was a hot day so there were lots of crowds but Jules only had to do a wade rescue of someone who had got caught in a rip. He also had to redo his bronze proficiency this weekend, an annual requirement making sure everyone's knowledge is up to date, and luckily he passed.

Tom photo bombed my first attempt!
Sheldon and Jules - don't you feel safe knowing they're patrolling our beaches!
We had touch rugby followed by water polo on Friday night. You can just make out Tess behind the girl holding the ball. Tess' team had a mighty win and I was very excited because they were coached by an Hungarian girl called Lenke. She was slightly more underwhelmed by the similarity in our names.
It was Club Champs at nippers on Sunday where all the kids do races to work out the line ups of teams for the upcoming carnivals. Tom's age group is ridiculously strong but he did really well coming in the top 6 for board and swim events. He's still not that fast on the sand but he's working on it.

The Christensens have been growing beetroots and when Issy saw this massive one she decided that I had to have it. Given it's size I decided it would be best put to use as a relish so I made a beetroot and red onion relish that I used to make little tarts with goats cheese - they were yum and Issy was very happy with her jar of relish.
