Halloween

The Jamos were in Sydney for Halloween this year.  They were originally supposed to be staying with us in our new house but sadly I couldn't get our furniture moved until the week after.

We had a lovely meal at Mexicano with the Cooks on Friday night - a bit of a KPMG reunion by all accounts!  On Saturday morning Jules took Julia and Michael down to Manly to do the Manly to Shelley Swim with Tom and Harry on their nipper boards acting as water safety - I love that they can do that!

Our trick or treating started at about 5pm and we walked to the local street where all the residents go all out with their decorations.  Tess had completely abandoned us from quite an early stage as she and her friends had taken all things Halloween into their own hands starting with going shopping together for costumes followed by complicated arrangements of which houses they were going to in order to get dressed up etc.  The grown ups were glad to be back home with a glass of wine in hand by about 6pm!  I was excited to be hosting our first dinner back in our renovated house.  Although it was a bit chilly we were able to sit outside comfortably under the heat strips on the deck and I think we will have many more successful dinners on our beautiful new deck.

After nippers on Sunday and a spot of lunch we all headed down to Fairlight beach for some snorkelling followed by a delicious dinner at the Mennies.

It was a lovely weekend although we all need another one to recover!
