Vance Joy, who just won a whole load of music awards at the ARIA's, opened the show and he was amazing. Just him and his guitar up on that massive stage and I kept wishing Tom was there as he's played quite a few of Vance Joy's songs. We joked about how one day we'll be at a big concert watching Tom but in front row seats! When Vance had finished I was ready to go home because I did not see how anyone could top his performance but I was about to be blown away.

Taylor Swift came on stage and the 76,000 concert goers went mad. She had an amazing way of making the venue, which was the largest I've ever been in, feel almost intimate. She is very clear about who her target audience is and we were constantly given lots of positive messages about friendship, being strong, believing in yourself, "don't be cool, be happy" she said at one stage. During her costume changes she had videos of her famous girl pals talking about friendship and the importance of being true to each other. I was also surprised that she clearly has a lot of musical talent playing the piano and the guitar beautifully.

The concert was called 1989 (the year she was born) but I felt 1984 might have been more appropriate. On entry we were all given a wrist band which were centrally controlled flashing different colours at different times and in different parts of the stadium to create the most amazing light displays. It was all mind-blowingly spectacular and an amazing experience. Lucky girls!
