No news is good news

Life is getting the better of us at the moment.  We're all busy, I'm working, and I'm not being as diligent with my photo taking.  So there is no news really but here are a few paltry photos that I found on my phone.

Tom phoned me from school on Friday to remind me that it was Languages week and his class were performing a poem in Mandarin for the parents.  He knew that I wouldn't want to miss it and he was right.  It was very sweet hearing all the boys speak Mandarin and I was then able to look around the classroom at all their work on the walls.  Tom's teacher takes great pride in displaying their work and the classroom looks beautiful.

When I had my friends round for drinks and a vague attempt at dinner the other night one of them, Kara, turned up with the most amazing salmon dish that had us all swooning.  The very next day I googled it and forwarded the recipe to Trudie who I share a lot of recipes with.  On Saturday night we had Craig and Lisa round for dinner so I decided it was the perfect opportunity to try the yummy salmon myself.  At 4.30pm I got an email from Trudie letting me know that she was trying the salmon that night too - we're all so original in Balgowlah Heights!  There were lots of texts flying around with photos of the dishes à la Masterchef.  I declared Trudie the winner as she bothered to caramelise her limes.
