We were scarred by our last camping trip when Custard died and I was beginning to wonder if we would ever camp again. With the Watts moving to the UK at the beginning of January they were very keen to fit in one last camping adventure. So this weekend, with the kids now on summer holidays, we headed off to Patonga with the Watts, Rivers and Christensens. Patonga has several factors in its favour: it's only 1.5 hours from Sydney, it's surrounded by water, there are good amenities (ie hot showers) and there's a pub and fish and chip shop within walking distance of the camp site so no cooking required! For various reasons the dads weren't able to come up until the Saturday morning so it was up to the mums and kids to set up camp. All the kids were amazing and we had the tents up in no time including the Christensens new Taj Matent. I had not been particularly excited about going camping but, as always, once I was relaxing under a tree with a glass of champs in hand I breathed a big sigh of relief and relaxed.
Tom entertaining the crowds - he's useful when camping
He's always happy with a guitar in his hand
Tom spent a lot of time in this tree
Ted had a sleepover at Edgar's house and Craig said that they had a fabulous time together. It was a bit of a trial as we're having Edgar for 2 weeks over Christmas so lucky it was successful.
We put up the Christmas tree on Sunday. Ted was very keen on some of the ornaments - I wonder how long the tree will last?
Ted was desexed on Wednesday hence the shaved legs
