Time with Tess

Tess had a basketball game at Auburn on Saturday which is quite far away from where we live so felt like an adventure.  They had a great game with a convincing win despite being one player down for the first and last 5 minutes of the game.  We made the most of the trip and stopped at a factory outlet for a bit of retail therapy although given neither of us are shoppers we bought very little.  I was just happy to spend time with Tess because she's spending more and more time hiding in her room on her devices or doing homework so I have to catch the moments whilst I can.  

Tess has her grade 5 piano exam coming up in a couple of weeks so her piano teacher held a concert at her house for all her exam students.  Tess played well but it was a good opportunity to work out what she needs to work on most in the last weeks.  

It was Mothers Day on Sunday.  Tess made us all pancakes for breakfast and we had quite a lazy day. Surfing for Tom and pottering around the kitchen for me.  I loved the card that Tom made me.
