Treetops and Carnivals

Josh and Tess spent a day exploring Sydney before Josh left us on Tuesday.  Tess was a bit nervous about hanging out with an adult she doesn't see often but she had a lovely time and I'm so glad she was brave enough to do it.

Jay, Tom, Liv and Tess - conveniently 75% of Tess' close friends so far have been called Olivia!

During the week we went to TreeTops which is a giant obstacle course set high up in the trees with the odd zip line thrown in.  Both kids took a friend and as we entered the carpark for TreeTops Jay mentioned that he's actually really afraid of heights!  He ended up just doing the first course, shaking like a leaf, but the other 3 kids and I loved every minute and took the hardest option on the 3rd course which had us leaping through the air hanging onto a rope and stopping ourselves by grasping onto a giant spiders web.  So much fun!  The kids were starving after 3 hours of climbing so we hot footed it to the nearest McDonalds which was all we could find within a reasonable distance.

The surf was good this week for the first time all summer holidays so Tom spent lots of time at the beach giving his new board a good workout.
Tom, Harry and Levi spent 5 hours surfing at Freshwater.  Check out those six packs!

It was a busy weekend for Tom who had a nippers carnival on the Central Coast all day Saturday, a Hydrothon (500m swim, 1km paddle, 2.5km run on soft sand) on Sunday morning followed by a water polo game on Sunday afternoon.  I felt a bit mean waking him at 6.15 this morning for swimming as he could barely walk!

Tom and Conner are wearing the pink vests that they had to wear at the Saturday carnival which is sponsored by the Freemasons.  Nothing to do with us!
