Macbeth at the Pop-Up Globe

I was excited to read about a replica Globe Theatre being constructed in Sydney and immediately booked us tickets.  Jules and I debated whether to go a light-hearted comedy but ended up choosing Macbeth because it had awesome reviews and both kids are familiar with the story.  Well, you should have heard the carry-on from Tess and Tom in the week prior to us going.  They were both refusing point blank to come with us.  Obviously they weren't actually given a choice and we headed to a matinee performance on Saturday.  The Globe itself is amazing and the kids loved the set up.  Thank goodness we all understood the plot because Shakespearean is fairly hard to follow especially when spoken fast!  Tom complained of not understanding one word of it and Tess struggled too (as did I!) but at the end of the performance they both rated it an 8 out of 10 which I think constitutes a success.
