Tess' 25km walk and some exciting news

Every year Queenwood hold a 50km and 25km walk to raise money for charity and on Friday Tess took part in the 25km walk.  She was very lucky that after 3 weeks of near solid rain it stopped on Thursday evening and the sun even made a bit of an appearance.  Tess had not done any training but she has such long legs that it's easy for her.  She spent most of the walk with her friend Chelsea who has equally long legs - it makes a difference, trust me!  It took them about 5 hours to complete the walk and Tess came home and had a very long magnesium bath to ease her muscles.  The poor girl had to back up with 2 games of water polo on Saturday morning but she managed.

A couple of weeks ago we were offered a share in the farm that we've been going to with Craig and Lisa since the children were little.  For us it is a dream come true as it has always been a very special place for all of us.  We have booked it for Tom's birthday weekend and for when the Whomsley's are here over Christmas.

The farm house - it's basic but we love it

A farm needs toys and the kids have grown out of the motorbike that we bought them back in 2012 when Tom was 7 and Tess was 9.  Jules and Tom went for an initial recce whilst Tess was at waterpolo on Saturday and then we took Tess to check the bikes out and make a final decision.  We settled on a Honda CRF125 for the kids and a Honda XR150L for Jules and possibly Tess once she's used to the smaller one.
