Swimming Carnivals

Tess and Tom both had their swimming carnivals last week.  I didn't go to Tess' because it was held on a Friday and clashed with my tennis - priorities!  For someone who doesn't do swimming squads she did incredibly well getting to the finals in both freestyle and breast stroke - and she was swimming with the seniors which covers Years 10-12 so as a Year 10 she was one of the youngest.

Tom had a lot of fun at his swimming carnival and came away with 9 ribbons: 1 first, 5 second, 1 third, 2 fourth.

Tess is playing water polo for school again this term and for the first time they've had games scheduled in an outdoor ocean swimming pool.  A seagull dived into the pool and came out with a fish just before the game started and it was a bit of a shock dodging seaweed and sting rays!

Tom with his nipper age group - I love his flamingo budgies!

I took Ted for a walk up at Tania Park and had to stop to let an echidna cross the road!  It's very unusual to see them in the wild around here.
