The Duncan's visit

We've had a lovely weekend with Mark and Caroline Duncan and their 3 kids: Ruby, and twins Herbie and Iris. Caroline joined KPMG in the UK at the same time as Jules and I and we did our professional training and exams together.  Mark and Caroline lived in Sydney for about 4 years during the mid 2000s and their 3 children were born here.  They now live back in the UK and this was their first visit with the children.  We had a lovely evening catching up on Friday, and on Saturday we did a bush walk, spent time in Manly watching Tom do his SRC training whilst enjoying the sunshine and then left the kids at home whilst we went to Hugo's for dinner.

Last weekend I attended a fabulous concert held at Queenwood on Sunday afternoon.  The Symphonic Winds Ensemble played a few pieces (that's the band Tess is in), and we then had music by the Junior School Band and finally the Sydney Symphonic Winds band which is a band made up of amateur musicians.  The music was excellent - a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Manly Surf Club held a table tennis competition evening.  Tom had intended to enter with his mate Harry but it started quite late so I took the boys home and Jules and Sheldon joined forces instead.  They were unbeaten until the semi-finals when they went down in a shock defeat ;)

Here's a picture of Ted pretending he's not actually on the sofa - he was like a child "if I can't see them, they can't see me!"
