You may think the photo below is of an Eastern Frilled Lizard but no! Ted ate another sock that got stuck. It was almost exactly 6 months since the last one got stuck. We have been severely told off by every vet we have come into contact with during his second operation. Ted has recovered much more quickly from this operation than the last. The vet has suggested that he needs to only be let out whilst wearing a soft muzzle so that he can't still strangers socks up at the dog park. Ted will hate that but it's worth trying!
We had another lovely relaxing weekend with Robert and Caroline with some fierce rounds of table tennis played. The kids are now both better than me which I find a little distressing and is surely only because they are both taller than me.......!
Tom had his final Queenscliff Boardriding Competition for the year and they finished up with a Grom Expression Session in the evening before the annual presentation. The surf was quite small and apparently Tom famously said "I'm not going to win this thing doing floaters and cutties so I'm going to have to ramp it up". I am not impressed by the ramping up - he basically tried to jump on top of his board as he threw first his board and then himself off the wall of the ocean pool at Queenscliff. However, he did win the Expression Session for his efforts and was presented with a $200 watch! Overall he came 3rd in his age group for the year which he was very happy with - there are some good surfers in that club.
