Den building

Not much to report this week.  Tom has decided to give up club water polo which makes me happy and sad.  Sad because I've enjoyed being involved with the club (I look after boys uniform and I've helped rewrite the constitution and restructure the board) but happy because we now get Sunday afternoons/evenings back and we don't have 2 late nights for training each week.  Tom will continue to play water polo with school so he's not giving up completely.

Jules had the first twilight race this Friday but was given a ridiculous handicap so I don't think they ranked and then had another race on Sunday and came second.  Andrew, Jules and their crew are getting so much enjoyment from Kia Kaha it's really fantastic.

Tess helped me do some painting in the garden on Saturday.  We're getting close to the big reveal and are hoping to get the grass in this week.  It's looking so lovely and we're very excited about the new space.

Tom had various sporting activities on Saturday and spent Sunday with his local friends.  They've created a secret den in bushland somewhere near our house and they found a few old chairs and a coffee table which had been put out for council collection.  The items came home for a bit of a clean and then Tom persuaded Tess to drive the items to the den because he doesn't want me knowing where it is.  At least he's out and about doing "boy" stuff!
