Back to work

It was back to work last week with only 2 weeks remaining of the summer holidays - why do they always go so quickly?? Tess found herself a job at a local beachfront cafe, Jellyfish, which has always been a favourite of ours.  She works long hours with few breaks but enjoys it and loves all the people she works with.  They obviously value her as she is getting about 4 shifts a week.

Due to our Covid restrictions we are only allowed a maximum of 5 people in our houses at any one time so we met up for drinks and nibbles at Forty Baskets on Saturday evening.  It was a perfect evening and such a lovely spot for a quiet drink.  Even better, we were all packed up and at home by about 9pm!

The weather has been amazing and Jules and I have been going to the beach first thing in the morning for a run (me) and a swim (Jules).  On Sunday we took the scooter so that we didn't have to worry about parking or be on a time limit and could stay as long as we liked at the beach.  We bumped into Trudie and Sheldon and as it was nearly lunchtime it seemed like a good idea to spoil ourselves with a few drinks and some mexican food.  It made the 4 of us feel like we were on holiday again!

Just a word for all our UK readers - I do feel very bad posting photos of our beautiful weather and being out and about with friends when you are all in complete lockdown.  Please don't be offended but this blog is now my photo album so it would be incomplete if I didn't write about our goings on.  We are thinking of you all constantly and can't wait until we can make it over to see you all.
