Australia Day and the holidays are nearly over

Tom and friends headed up to Millie's farm for a couple of days (Millie is Harry's girlfriend). Tom sent me this photo of them all living their best lives!

Australia Day was a beautiful sunny day. Jules and I had no plans other than heading down to Manly for a swim. Whilst down there we decided to spoil ourselves with breakfast at The Pantry. We scored a table at the window looking directly onto the beach.

It was such a beautiful day we decided to spend the rest of the morning at the beach. Whilst we were there we bumped into Trudie and Sheldon and the 4 of us ended up having an impromptu lunch at the Skiff Club overlooking the harbour. A lovely way to spend Australia Day.

Jules is continuing to enjoy his paddling and went this morning with Jono and Mark. They paddled 10kms which is the longest Jules has ever been out. He was very proud of himself.

Tom went back to school on Friday. He had to do a Rapid Antigen Test before going to school and will now have to do 2 a week - every Monday and Wednesday - for the foreseeable future. None of us have had covid yet but we are anticipating we might get it once Tom is back at school.

Tess got her HSC results and ATAR (a score used for University entrance) last week. Given the couple of years she's had and the struggles she's experienced with her mental health we were proud that she even managed to sit her exams. Her ATAR was not what it should have been but she got the top band (90-100%) in Biology and the second top band (80-90%) in English, French and PDHPE. Luckily she had already received an unconditional offer to read Psychology at Macquarie so her results ended up being academic (excuse the pun!).

Here's a beautiful photo of Tess heading out for a fancy dinner with her friends in the City. They're going to an Asian restaurant and are ordering the banquet except for Tess, the vegetarian, who has identified 2 things on the menu she might eat so will order separately - although being a vegetarian she's not massively keen on vegetables!
