For Jules' birthday he managed to persuade the children to join us in active pursuits. Jules and Tom did the Manly to Shelley swim and Tess and I ran down to Manly buying croissants on the way so that we could all enjoy breakfast in the sunshine.
Jules and I ended up in Queensland at the same time but for different reasons. I was up for work, visiting our skin cancer clinics and presenting at a work conference. Jules was up for pleasure helping Martin sail his boat, Black Sheep, back down to Sydney. They had some scary moments surfing down huge waves in the black of night and some exhilarating moments sighting whales, a sperm whale (very rare!) and lots of dolphins.
Meanwhile Tom competed in the "Rock in the Quad" competition at school which he won and he now has a voucher for a recording session so we're hoping for another song to be released (although hopefully once his exams are done!).
