Tom turned 3 this week. We gave him a remote control red Ford Mustang for his birthday. Jules was concerned that we ought to check it worked prior to giving it to him and he was probably right because we have not been allowed to touch it since he opened it even when it gets stuck under items of furniture!
Rae arrived on Saturday morning and the kids were very excited to go to the airport to pick her up although after about 15 mins of waiting Tom said on several occasions "can we go home now?" Rae did very well and stayed up all day and most of the evening - we got through 3 bottles of wine and finally crawled into bed at about 11 pm which is well past our normal bed time. Whilst we were having dinner there was a huge thunderstorm followed by a full rainbow so I got very excited with the camera.
On Sunday the weather was truly shocking - gale force winds and driving rain. Rae, Tess and I went to Ikea with half of Sydney and the Wakes-Millers came round in the evening which was the first real test of my kitchen - it passed with flying colours. I promise I will post photos soon.
