A visit from the Tooth Fairy

Tess lost her first tooth on Wednesday.  We had been expecting it for quite some time as it is the one she banged when she fell in the playground and it was fractured - in fact we were surprised that it lasted as long as it did.  The tooth fell out at school and there was a big drama when she wrapped it in a tissue to keep it safe and then threw the tissue in the bin.  Fortunately her friend Olivia was on the ball and rescued the tooth!

A parcel arrived in the post on Thursday from Sam and Anna.  Tess and Tom were delighted to find some Playmobil inside - a dog set for Tom and a guinea pig set for Tess.  They have been playing constantly with their Playmobil since it arrived, making up new names for the animals and actually sharing it really nicely.  They recorded a special message for Sam and Anna which I warn you contains scary footage of Tess' "gap".

We have had a wonderfully quiet and lazy weekend.  The weather has been incredible - in the mid twenties and we've enjoyed hanging out at home and catching up on the washing (well I have at any rate!).

It's birthday week in the UK with John, Uncle Robert and Ann all celebrating their birthdays on Wednesday so a very big happy birthday to you all!
