Trafficking

From the outside of no 15 and no 17 Curban Street you would never believe the amount of trafficking that goes on between the two houses - in cakes. This week was a case in point with brownies, choc chip cookies, fairy cakes, choc chip banana muffins and pear & raspberry bread all being trafficked between nos 15 and 17. It's just as well Lisa and I go walking every morning although all that does is keep us at a steady weight rather than going completely obese!

It was school holidays this week and Lisa had Tess on Monday and Thursday which was fantastic although we had to keep it a secret from Tom. On Tuesday and Wednesday she went to vacation care and had a great time at the Maritime Museum and an even better time Ten Pin Bowling - "it's so cool Mummy!". I had Hunter on Friday and the weather was a bit dodgy so I took the 3 kids to an indoor activity centre and sat and read my book for 2.5 hours whilst they ran around like headless chickens - everyone was a winner!!

After a dinner of curry with all the Mennies we decided that Hunter should have a sleepover - you should have seen how his face lit up - he was so excited! It went remarkably smoothly - Tom woke up at 4am which woke Hunter but fortunately they were both so tired that they went back to sleep immediately. On Saturday morning I took the 3 kids to the zoo to see the baby elephant - he was born about 2 weeks ago and he is the cutest thing - I had tears in my eyes when we saw him! We got back home and the kids were all zombies and could barely talk they were so tired! Jules had a race out on the harbour on St Jude - they came first which was great as that was the last winter race for them - there's a couple of practice sessions then its into the summer series races and the lead up to the Sydney Hobart!

Sunday dawned bright and clear and Tess suggested that we go out on the speed boat. We packed a picnic and headed for Castle Rock beach, one of our favourite spots. We had lunch and Tess decided she was going for a swim so jumped off the boat and swam to the beach - she is so not her mother's child! A few hundred yards from where we dropped anchor there was a huge 80 foot Sunseeker motor boat - whilst we were talking about it Tom piped up saying if we had that boat he could have a tv on it to watch a movie. Great to know that while we're on the harbour on a beautiful day Tom just wants to know when he can get in front of the box again!
