As you may be able to tell by the title of this week's blog Tess has lost another of her front teeth. It happened at the zoo this morning - I turned round and she was holding her mouth and mumbling - "Mum, I can't put my tooth back in". When she opened her mouth the tooth was hanging by a thread so I said the only thing to do was to pull it out and she did. I was very pleased to be with her for this tooth loss because I missed the first one which I was sad about - it seems like such a rite of passage. Tess is very excited about another visit for the tooth fairy and was angling for $2 rather than the $1 she got last time! BTW - when Floyd saw the kids all getting ready to go to the zoo he decided to come too and thought he might act as chauffeur for the day.
We have continued to enjoy the most stunning winter weather and Tom has twice ended up drenched from head to toe after some over-enthusiastic playing in the sea at Clontarf. The boys were sailing today - amazing weather but not very much wind so it was a slow one although they managed to come 3rd with just 3 of them on the boat so pretty good going. They came back with stories of sailing with 2 humpback whales and a pod of dolphins!
Work started on our backyard on Wednesday which is very exciting. You can clearly see where the flat grassy areas are going to be and quite tragically although most of the garden has now been dug up it still looks better than it did before! We are experiencing problems with the neighbour at the end of the garden as the fence was taken down before we had a chance to tell her. Because of her complaints the landscaper has changed his plan and a new fence should be in place by Tuesday this week. The kids are already getting excited about their new garden and we've started looking at climbing frames and swing sets.
Since posting this blog Tess has lost another tooth - a bottom one this time. She's worried that the tooth fairy might struggle trying to fly whilst carrying all that money?!
