It was Halloween on Monday and Emma and I managed to take the 5 children to a nearby street for some trick or treating. Tom was dressed as a zombie, Tess as a witch, Olivia as a devil, James as a skeleton and Jack as a pumpkin. Emma had also made an effort and was a very fetching witch in a purple number. Unfortunately I have no photos recording our efforts!
On Saturday we went with the Rumbolds to see Band of Horses and Kings of Leon in concert. Both bands were excellent but we've become venue snobs and were disappointed with the huge arena out in Homebush. Still, it was exciting to go out early on a Saturday night and get back home in the early hours. It didn't feel quite so exciting at 7 the following morning when we were running around trying to get Tom ready for nippers. The weather was glorious and Tess and I swam in the sea, drank coffee and sunbaked whilst Tom and Jules did the hard yards at nippers!
I forgot to mention a couple of weeks ago that Tom got his first assembly award at school - it was for "always being a good friend" - aahhhhh!!
I'm feeling bad about not managing a single photo so I found a couple of the children taken 4 years ago almost to the day. It's remarkable really how little the children have both changed whilst having actually changed rather a lot.
