A musical weekend

Tess had her first music exam on Saturday - grade 1 clarinet.  She was very nervous but the examiner was very nice and tried to put her at ease.  I'm glad it's over and done with - now she'll know what to expect going forward and I might not get so nervous!!

Tom with his new birthday skateboard

On Monday we went to Ribs & Rumps to celebrate Tom's birthday.  He could stuff his face with ribs and watch the surfers at the same time - his idea of heaven!
The Werewolves and the Zombies
The short but sweet touch rugby season finished on Friday.  The heavens were just beginning to open as the girls game finished so sadly I don't have a photo of Tess' team.

Senior Band - they're all awesome!

It was a very sociable Sunday with lunch at the Christensens followed by the 20th Band Anniversary up at school.  Bec is my co Senior Band co-ordinator and we decided that a few glasses of champagne would help the afternoon pass in a more convivial manner!  It's been pretty time-consuming co-ordinating Senior Band, with Bec and I taking it in turns to attend every single band rehearsal during the year, band camp and 3 festivals, but they're an awesome bunch of kids and we've all had a lot of fun.
