Me and Bec
It was "the race that stops a nation" on Tuesday and, for the first time since I've lived in Australia, I got dressed up to celebrate and went out with a group of school mums to a swanky new restaurant in Manly. We had a brilliant time with lots of food, wine, gossip and laughter.
Jules has been in South America all week with the most amazing itinerary involving lots of 3am/4am starts to fly to different parts of the country. He visited Santiago, Concepcion, Lima, Arequipa, Angofasta and the Aracoma Desert all in 5 days! He arrived back this morning in remarkably good shape but we've been taking it easy today to give him a chance to acclimatise!
I had a very "proud mother" moment one evening this week when Tess showed me that she had completed a rubix cube. I spent days, weeks even, in my youth trying to do it and the most I ever achieved was 2 sides and 7/9ths of a third!!
Tom spent Saturday surfing with a private lesson in the morning followed by a couple of hours out with his friend Harry in the afternoon. Robert came and joined us for a coffee and some muffins after his morning surf.
On Saturday evening the kids and I went round to the Wakes-Millers to catch up with them and the Duthies who were camping in their back yard. Tess was delighted to have some big girls to play with and her and Scarlett spent most of the time hanging out in our car chatting until the boys managed to lure them out with a game of murder in the dark. The kids love catching up with their cousins and hanging out on their "farm".
