Farm and some unexpected visitors

School ended this week and Tom, Jules and the Mennies headed up to the farm on Thursday night for a long weekend.  Tess and I went to her netball game on Saturday (the coach was in Paris so I felt obliged to be there) and then raced up to the farm to join the others.  On Friday I received a text from Jules with a photo of the Jamos.  They had driven from Melbourne to the farm to surprise everyone for the weekend.  It made me doubly cross about netball but a commitment is a commitment........!

There was lots of bush-walking, bike riding, go-proing, chess playing, singing round the campfire, eating and drinking - a perfect weekend as always.
There's finally been some rain so everything is green again.

The kids hunting for Easter eggs - a week early but they begged us!

Look closely - it's Tess driving the Rav

Custard thoroughly disgraced himself by finding a kangaroo leg and then biting Tom when he tried to take it away.  In fact he growled incredibly fiercely at anyone who came within 2 metres of him and his bone so we left him to it and luckily he came back to the farm house once he'd finished.
