Mother's Day
It was Mother's Day in Australia today. Every year we run a fundraising Mother's Day stall at school where you buy a gift for $10, wrap it in cellophane so the kids can see what's inside and take it to school together with an additional $5 (the fundraising bit). It can be very hit or miss with regards to what comes back home so I showed the kids what I'd purchased and gave them strict instructions that they should try and find those gifts or something similar. Tess followed my instructions to a T - no surprise there! Tom used a bit of imagination and chose me a travel mug with attached mirror so that I can check my make-up (which I hardly ever wear!) during the Shitbox Rally because apparently you can never be too sure of Leanne and she might well through my mirror out the window???!!! He also made me the delightful heart shown above and wrote a card which is priceless.................
For those who find it hard to read here you go:
Dear Mum I love even no (though?) you don't kiss me good by (he's talking about school drop off and he won't let me!) I even bet you would kiss a fly (hmmm, but I like the rhyming) I'll love you in heave and down on earth and you will always be in my haert (sic) you cook me dinner and breakfast you are so helpful unlike your husband the girella (that's how Tom spells gorilla) love from tom
School photos came out during the week. Tess was a little disappointed with hers. Tom was very happy with his.
