John and Rae arrive

John and Rae arrived on Saturday morning and within a couple of hours John was up on the roof trying to fix the leak that has plagued us in Tom's room.  Jules and John are so convinced that whatever they've done will fix the problem that we've moved the kids into Tom's room to give us all a little more space.  I will be moving their beds out at the first sign of rain - just to be on the safe side!!!!

Tess had water polo on Friday and although the other team had noticeably better skills The Dolphins managed to pull off a victory for their last game of the season.  We will all miss water polo although we won't miss the games at 8.50pm on a Friday night.

Our neighbourhood possum, which we believe is the one we called Squish and is blind, was seen in the gum tree in our garden with an enormous baby on her back.

Jules, John and Tess had a sailing race on Sunday.  Although they were first across the line by a long way their handicap put them in 3rd position but they had a lovely time with good wind and some amazing kite runs.  Rae, Tom and I spent the day at home as Tom has a very badly infected ear canal (too much swimming and surfing) and is in such severe pain that he's taking nurofen and panadeine forte together every 4 hours.  It's not looking good for surfing at Boomerang Beach.
