I organised a netball mini-round robin for the U12 teams who made it through to the finals. It was a lovely morning and the girls all had a lot of fun but the highlight for them was when we finished with a game of girls v parents.
That's me playing GK!
Tom and Harry had fun on Friday afternoon on their nipper boards.
Tom hit the water again on Saturday morning for a surf.
Tom, Jules and I headed off to watch Tom's rugby on Sunday morning. Tess was left at home with strict instructions that she needed to finish her school project which is due this Friday. On the way to rugby I got the following text:
After that particular fit she got quite imaginative and decided to do a project that didn't involve stationary supplies. Instead she roped Ruby into helping her out with creating a trailer for a film. The girls and I had such fun doing the filming and Tess managed to make a really great trailer for her project. A win all round!

The kids had a Science Day at school which involved making paper planes and flying them for an entire day. They were meant to dress up but it's a bit hard at the moment because so much of our stuff is in storage but luckily Tom was happy with a vague attempt at a mad scientist. The school Athletics Carnival was held on Monday (they haven't done much work at school this week!). Tess was not supposed to participate because of her pneumonia but she insisted on having a go. She came 3rd in her 100m heat but sadly didn't qualify for the final. Tom participated in the 100 and 200m and did great in both. He's not a runner and it's the first year that he's accepted it's all about giving it a go rather than winning which is a sure sign of him growing up.
