Tom will be in U11 nippers this year and they move from foam to fibreglass boards. We've been holding off buying one because they're very expensive and you need to get one depending on your weight which means any one we buy Tom will probably only last one season as he seems to grow so quickly. We heard about one which was owned by the U11 State Champion from last year which sounded too good to be true and after having a look we had to get it. With such an illustrious board comes a certain amount of pressure and Tom paddled and ran like a demon in his first board training with his new board - long may it last. It was the most glorious Sunday morning and I was in shorts and a t-shirt - bring on summer!

Tess had water polo at 7.30 on Sunday evening - marginally more sociable than last week! She had spent all day in bed with a dreadful headache and the start of a cold but nothing was going to stop her doing water polo. It might have been a beautiful day but the temperatures drop quickly at night.
Ready for the elements. And water polo.
