Tom is a school leader

Tom went back to school on Tuesday and it started with an all school assembly where they announced the 12 junior school leaders of which he is one.  He has been given the position of House Captain of Orrock and it's a real testament to Tom as leaders are voted by their peers and he was one of 6 chosen from 21 who put themselves forward.

Linda and Patrick spent the week in Sydney enjoying the heat and humidity which was actually worse than that currently in Singapore for a large part of their stay!  They came for dinner on Tuesday night which was a little chaotic with the kids various activities but it was lovely to see them and the bump.

Linda had to leave on Friday due to work/study commitments so Patrick stayed with us Friday and Sunday night.  Jules took Patrick and Johnny sailing on Friday night and although they scored a DNF due to lack of wind Patrick and Johnny involved being dropped off in Manly by boat, the rock star way of arriving even if it is a very small and old boat!

On Saturday Jules headed to the farm for 24 hours to watch the Waratahs play in Mudgee on Saturday night.  Tess had her friends Olivia and Charlotte over for a sleepover and they were swimming until late in the evening due to the heat.  Such delightful girls they were very happy to help me cook, particularly with my beloved Thermomix, and Charlotte made a rather delicious salted caramel sauce to pour over vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Tom and I were up early on Sunday morning for Tom to swim the 1km in the Cole Classic.  After almost missing the start of the race due to general disorganisation on our parts he completed the course in 16.04 minutes and enjoyed every minute of it.  Jules did it in 19 minutes last year to give you some kind of bench mark.......!

He just found out he beat Jules' time from last year - could his grin get any bigger
