I visited a new art gallery which a friend of mine has set up along with 12 other local artists. I completely fell in love with one of the art works and fortunately Jules liked it too. To make it even more special the artist, Jessica Watts, personally delivered it to our house so we were able to meet her and find out more about her. I spent most of Sunday crying tears of happiness whilst the children rolled their eyes!
It was International Gin Day on Saturday. Sadly I am allergic to gin but there were some very stiff gin and tonics drunk at the Kernahan's where we had a grown-ups dinner and rolled home past midnight. And look at those superior deli platters - I took a photo in the vague hope that I may be able to recreate them.
After a week of rain we were delighted to see the sun on Monday. Tom got so carried away that he decided it was worth a dip in the pool which is an icy 15 degrees. The dip didn't last very long.
I was always adamant that the dog was not to be allowed on the upstairs sofas.
