Poster Girl

I was driving through Mosman last week when I discovered that Tess has been used as the poster girl for the Balmoral Burn which is a race Tess does every year.  It's only 450m long but it's up a very steep hill near Tess' school.  She also appeared in our local newspaper, The Manly Daily.  The irony of the least willingly active member of our family advertising something active is not lost on us......

After the most astonishing run of fabulous weather it came to an end this weekend with stormy skies and a fair amount of rain.  

Mother's Day was a quiet affair.  Tess disappeared off to a friend's house to work on a school assignment so Tom, Jules and I went down to Manly so that Tom could surf and Jules could swim. In the evening I persuaded the kids to play a few board games with us before they disappeared back to their devices.
