Queen's birthday weekend in Gerroa
We spent the Queen's birthday long weekend in Gerroa with the Rivers. Originally we booked it so that we could do lots of hiking and further amortise the cost of our hiking boots (ignoring the cost of the house rental of course.......!) but Ruby had done something to her ankle and couldn't do any hiking much to Tess' delight. We found a lovely routine of walking (Trudie and me) or surfing (Jules, Sheldon, Tom and Sisi) in the morning whilst the weather wasn't too bad and then games/table tennis/hanging in the spa during the afternoon. In a newsworthy turn of events Tess was crowned champion of the table tennis table and I was a little horrified when Tom beat me with relative ease (it had nothing to do with the glasses of champagne I'd had to drink!).

The grown ups had a great evening at the Blue Swimmer Crab restaurant on Saturday night and we all enjoyed lunch and a tiny spot of shopping in Berry on Sunday. It was a very quiet and relaxing weekend which was exactly what everyone needed.
