Master Artisan

Tess spent the week at a French camp with her friend Alex.  She struggled a little bit with homesickness to start with but says she learnt so much and overall enjoyed herself.  The camp had a table tennis table and she was able to beat everyone comfortably with the exception of one 15 year old boy.  We are so proud ;)

Whilst Tess was at camp, Tom had a water polo competition which his team won undefeated.

Jules spent the weekend repairing the very rotten top of the stairs by the swimming pool deck.  It involved 3 trips to the hardware store but he's done an amazing job and I'm no longer worried someone is going to break their leg.

Jules has it in mind to buy a boat.  He got very close to buying a small speed boat with a cabin so that we could sleep on it but it was very expensive and I don't think we'd use it that much because the kids are always too busy.  He's now looking at going in a share boat with our next door neighbour and a couple of other locals.  To be honest I'm not sure of the details of the boat but Tom and Jules went out for a sail on Sunday to see what she is like.  Tom came back and said he didn't think the boat was much bigger than Oka and he thinks Jules should buy an old Land Rover instead!

It's been exceptionally cold.  Jules did the Bold & Beautiful swim on Saturday morning when the outside temperature was 7C and the water was only 15C.  Cold water doesn't stop Tom and Harry from surfing as often as possible.
