Happy 15th Birthday Tess!

It was Tess' 15th birthday on Monday and she celebrated with a small sleepover on Saturday night with 3 of her friends.  The girls ate take away pizza, a lot of lollies and sang karaoke all night.  Tom and I were itching to go down and join them but knew better!

On Sunday we had another celebration round at the Kernahan's which was actually organised because the Arnold's were in town from Hong Kong but as it coincided with Trudie's actual birthday and the eve of Tess' we decided another cake was in order.

Tess had school on her actual birthday and a couple of months ago I thought it would be nice to redecorate her bedroom as a surprise.  There was a small amount of risk that she wouldn't like it but she's not a great shopper so traipsing round shops looking at soft furnishings would have quickly worn thin.  I knew she was keen on a blue and white palette so I stuck to that.  Luckily Tom is already on holiday so I had him vacuuming, cleaning and helping me move furniture all day.  Tess' face was a picture when she walked into her room and luckily she loves it!
