Ghost tours

On Saturday evening I organised a Mother & Daughter Ghost Tour for the Queenwood Year 9 group. We had almost 40 girls and their mums turn up at the Quarantine Station on a balmy evening.  I've never been to the Quarantine Station and I was struck firstly by what a large area it covers and secondly by the amount of history it holds.  Our tour guide was excellent and incorporated the right amount of history with ghostly tales.  The girls in my group were hysterical from the get go and our guide did very well to keep the tour enjoyable for the mums above the screaming of the girls!

This photo was taken in the morgue - the expressions on the girls faces are priceless!

Tom and Jules headed to the Newport nipper carnival on Saturday morning which is the first carnival of the season.  It was a beautiful 30 degree day and I think the look on Tom's face in the second photo shows how much he enjoyed himself.  He did extremely well getting to the finals in everything - ironman, board, swim - which was what he was aiming for.

Whilst we were sailing in the Whitsundays Tom was driving the dinghy one afternoon and managed to t-bone it (crash it) into a moored yacht.  Luckily the dinghy was made of rubber so no damage was done but Tom was given the nickname T-Bone which seems to have stuck!
