Tess plays water polo for her school during the summer months. As is often the case with school teams they've had some good seasons and some not so good seasons. This season has been exceptional with the team working excellently together and doing very well in all their games. They had a fierce match on Saturday in which Tess did a number of excellent saves (Tess plays goal) and they emerged victorious! Originally I was going to miss it as Tom had an Ironman up the coast and Jules was on Surf Life Saving patrol but because of Tom's asthma we had to miss the Ironman so I was lucky enough to be on the edge of my seat with the other parents.
Tess is 2nd from left on the top row
Given we had the motorbike trailer up at the farm we brought the old orange farm bike back to Sydney to be fixed. It's been up at the farm forever and Jules has ridden it quite a bit in the past but it's not worked the last couple of times we've been up. We took it to a wonderful motorcycle repair shop on Thursday and discovered that it's practically an antique! It was made in 1979 and although, when Jules spoke to him over the phone, the mechanic had been dubious about whether it was worth fixing it, he got rather more enthusiastic when he saw it.
It was Bec's birthday last week and us girls always do a group present. She chose a shopping trip to Jo Malone which was a huge amount of fun. I was impressed that she'd co-ordinated her outfit for the trip :)
